HOW TO MAKE PIZZA SAUCE AT HOME
“Pizza” is flat round based dish served with various toppings and as tomato sauce as spread. Basically pizza sauce is available in packed form but made at home will taste different. As the canned products are ready to use but still i will recommend to make it fresh and use it.
Ingredients Required: –
- Tomatoes – 5-6 (or say 500 gm)
- Onion – 1 large (chopped)
- Oregano – 1 tsp (or 2 pinch of carom seeds(ajwain) )
- Chili powder – 1 tsp
- Cream – 2 tbsp
- Salt – as per taste
- Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp
- Sugar – 2 tsp
- Water – 1/2 small cup + for boiling tomatoes
- Put the tomatoes in hot water. After 10 minutes, remove the skin and grate into a pulp.
- Heat the oil and fry the onion and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add 1/2 small cup of water and cook for 3- 4 minutes.
- Add the tomato pulp, chili powder, oregano (or ajwain) , sugar and salt.
- Boil on a slow flame for at least 10 minutes.
- Add the cream and mix.
- Use as required… its ready to be used.
