Chana chat


Today here I am sharing a very healthy dish with you all. This chaat is healthy and tasty and one of my favorite. Actually it is a complete food and helps to lose weight and regain energy. Also regular intake of chickpeas helps in stomach disorders, constipation.
Also for vegetarian it is a whole protein diet and very helpful in many types of health related issues.
Firstly, it reduces weight because it is a complete food. So person feel full by eating small quantity.

Secondly, it is a protein laden dish for vegetarians.
so lets make this healthy food and enjoy healthiness.

Ingredients Required: –

  • Black chickpeas (chana) – 1/2 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch stick
  • Cucumber – 1 small (diced in small)
  • Onion – 1 small (chopped finely)
  • Tomato – 1 small (chopped in small)
  • Black pepper – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp (or as per taste)
  • Fresh coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Water – 1 1/2 cup

Procedure: –

  • First of all, pressure cook chana with water, garam masala, cumin powder, baking soda, bay leaf, cinnamon and little salt.
  • Cook it till soft.
  • Now off the flame and drain water in one bowl and chana’s in another.
  • In chana add chopped cucumber, onion, curd, green chutney, tamarind chutney and tomato.
  • Add salt and black pepper and mix well
  • Add lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves.
  • Once again mix well.

  • Serve it…as snack.

Notes: –

  • To try in different style

Ingredients Required: –

  • Potato – 1 small (boiled, peeled and cut in small cubes)
  • Coriander chutney – 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind chutney – 1 tbsp
  • Dried coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Thick curd – 2 tbsp
  • sev – 3 tbsp

Procedure: –

  • Just follow all the above steps to make it.
  • In the 4 step add these above ingredients and mix well.
  • Again follow the down steps and its ready.
