Aloo gobi with ginger

How to make aadraki aloo gobi

Ingredients Required: –

·       Potatoes – 3-4 peeled
·       Cauliflower (gobi) – 150 gm (1 cup)
·       Ginger – 3 inch piece (grated)
·       Tomato – 1 small (grated)
·       Onion – 1 small (grated)
·       Green chilly – 2-3 chopped
·       Cumin seeds (jeera) – 1 tsp
·       Asafoetida (hing) – a pinch
·       Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
·       Red chilly powder – ½ tsp
·       Garam masala – ¼ tsp
·       Coriander (dhaniya) powder – ½ tsp
·       Fresh coriander leaves – 1 ½  tbsp
·       Dried mango powder (amchoor) – ½ tsp
·       Oil – 1 ½ tbsp

Procedure: –

·       First of all peel potatoes and dice them in cubes and also cut cauliflower.
·       Then, take a deep pan (or a kadai) put oil in it and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Now add onion and sauté them till they are light pink in color, then add tomatoes and mix well.
·       Now add potatoes in pan and after 2-3 minutes add cauliflower and mix well and place lid for 2-3 minutes.
·       Then, add ginger in the pan and mix well
·       Place the lid till potato and cauliflower are soft.

·       Add dried mango powder and fresh coriander leaves….serve hot with chapattis
