Bread Poha

HOW TO MAKE BREAD POHA

Poha is made with less oil so, it is healthy. Bread Poha is complete snack and very healthy for an individual.

It is similarly made like poha only difference is addition of crumbled or square cut bread pieces.

Ingredients Required: –

  • Fla-ken Rice (Poha) – 200 gm
  • Bread slices – 3
  • Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves – 4-5 leaves
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Green chili – 1 (chopped)
  • Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Dried coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves – 1 tbsp (chopped)

Ingredients Required: –

  • First of all take kadai, heat oil in it and wash poha with plenty of water once.
  • Add mustard seeds, asafoetida and crackle it. Now add curry leaves and saute for 2 seconds.
  • Now lower the flame add spices (i.e. turmeric powder, dried coriander powder, garam masala, salt) and mix well.
  • To add bread pieces, soak 1 piece for 3 seconds in 1 cup water and then, squeeze water.
  • Crumble it with soft hand.
  • Repeat this procedure with all 3 slices.
  • Add poha and mix well and add crumbled bread pieces and mix well.
  • After 2 minutes, off the flame. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Add fresh coriander leaves and serve hot as tea-time snack or as breakfast.

Bread poha

  • Its ready to be served hot.

Notes: –

  • Bread slices can be added in two different ways i.e.
  1. Deep fry the bread squares and then add them.
  2. Secondly, cut them in square shape and add them.
  3. Green peas (2 tbsp) can also be added.
  4. Roasted ground nuts can also be added at last.
