HOW TO  MAKE VEG PULAO

Veg Pulao

Ingredients required: –

  • Basamati Rice – 2 cup
  • Onions – 2 (finely chopped)
  • Garlic – 4-5 cloves (chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 ½ inch piece (chopped)
  • Potatoes – 2 medium sized (chopped)
  • Peas – ¼ cup
  • Tomatoes  – 2 crushed
  • Cheese – ¼ cup
  • French beans – 4-5 (chopped)
  • Cauliflower florets – 5-8
  • Green chilly – 2-3 (silted)
  • Sour curd – 2 tbsp
  • Bay leaves – 2-4
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch stick
  • Cloves – 4-5
  • Black peppercorns – 4-5
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Red chilly powder – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Dried coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – ¼ tsp

  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Fresh coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Water – plenty for boiling rice

Procedure: –

  • First of all, take deep pan and add 2 tbsp of oil in it and warm it and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, bay leaves, cinnamon, black peppercorns, cloves, and mix well for some seconds.
  • On the other hand, place a utensil and add water and boil it and then add rice and cook them till they are par boil (don’t overcook them otherwise they will break).
  • Then add ginger, garlic, and sauté till light brown, and then add green chillies and sauté and then onions and sauté well till they turn pink in color.
  • Now add potatoes, French beans and mix till tender soft.
  • Then add peas, tomatoes, and sauté for some minutes and then add cauliflower florets and mix well.
  • Now add all the remaining species and place the lid till all vegetables are tender soft.
  • Take off the lid and add cheese and fresh coriander leaves and mix well.
  • When rice is boiled drain water and keeps in other bowl.
  • Now add rice to the mixture of veggies and mix well and also add curd.
  • Stir the mixture till water evaporates out….and your pulao is ready to eat. Garnish with some mint or coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with curd or sauce.
